| Most of the pictures
on this and all of the pages on this web site have been taken
by me from the condo or within walking distance of it. Not that
I am proud of this, however, I want to paint a accurate vision
for you of the condo and its surrounding area. |

When Adrianna and
I bought our Kauai home we did so because of how we could do
the things that we love without ever getting into a car. We love
the warm tropical ocean and the activities that it supports.
Two beaches are within walking distance from the condo. Hideaways,
the quintessential, beautiful, secluded tropical beach is located
below the condo and is rated #2 on the island for snorkeling. |
| If you like to
surf, Hideaways is also a great place to shred a wave. You can
catch an easy ride or watch professional surfers get the big
waves as you sip a Mai tai from the deck. |
 |
 |
A real treat for
me is when I see professional surfers get towed into the Hideaway’s
break. Sometimes they will ride a surfboard mounted on a hydrofoil. |
| Also within a three
minute walk from the condo is Pu’u Poa beach shown on the
bottom of the Home page. This beach has facilities to rent private
kayaks (or take kayak rides as shown in the picture), scuba gear,
snorkeling gear, surf and boogie boards. It is located at one
end of Hanalei Bay a three mile long, talcum powder soft beach,
great for running, walking or lying in the sun. |
 |
 |
Of course, there
are five great restaurants within walking distance (the Bali
Hai restaurant shown in the picture) and two world class golf
courses in Princeville (one within walking distance). If you
are not too tired of walking you can drive fifteen minutes to
the Kalalau Trail Head, access to the Na Pali wilderness area
and one of the most beautiful trails I have ever hiked. |
| Ok, let’s
talk whale watching. From December to late April or May the Humpback
whales are breaching and frolicking in the waters off our property.
I have spent hours trying to get a good picture of one breaching,
however, I have failed. |
 |
 |
So, here are some
not so good shots of some whales from the deck. |
